bilid is a double side rattan room divider for indoor space with two different pattern of rattan material that can decorate the house in two ways. which inspired from "unity" of two different perspectives.
By using rattan, a locally sourced material,
to tell the story of different perspectives that happening, portray how the dissimilarities could co-existed through the materials, colours, and two opposite variances.
Different patterns of rattan express meaning through the material and colors to creates a colorful emotion and represents a new mood of rattan furniture with tinted/pastel color combinations in which the two blends to provide a contrast of “warm & cool" tones.

"DOMESTIC"
UNITY of two different perspective
interpret these social movement into 2 different pattern of rattan. Rattan is a material - handicraft in Thailand. came out as a rattan room divider which has two sides to convey different emotions through the rattan visual.
The rattan pattern on one side is smooth conveys calm and peaceful in the same way to create a calming emotion for space.
While the other side using wavy weave rattan to reflect on the conflict to create an movement emotion to the home space.

bilid is a project that brings domestic material presented through inspiration from today's --- domestic society amid an age of change and adjustment.

Vertical Line:
imply orderly and strong structure, strength, higher,
rigid - convey a lack of movement. I used it refer to ideal orderly place, peace, decency and harmony.
Serpentine Line:
imply energy, sense of movement and dynamism from social conflict, conflict movement and inequality that inspired from domestic society
